The View from where I am
Well, where I am some of the time anyway. Here are views from around
the city of bath in England. It's the webcam in the bath, if you like.
(The original bath, as opposed to just any a-bath.)
Above is looking through the windows of an intercafé in the centre
of bath, during a rare break in the traffic towards a church. If you grab the
picture and flip it along the x-axis, you can read the lettering on the
glass, fasincating as it isn't.
This is the same café, viewing back a bit, and overexposed
but showing the interior more clearly. The bigger view above was taken later
with a very short exposure so you can see through the window, then the detail
was lifted out of the shadows with extra gamma-correction.
To be fair to correspondents putting out webcam images of themselves,
but not seeing the people you send it to, here is the shot
of me I gave to the Press. (Taken 2 days ago (Thursday 4th June 2003AD)
from a webcam in [the city of] bath).
