Silicon Graphics once brought a PC and repaired it. Guess how much the
bill came to? $220,000,000. Now it (they made copies of it afterwards)
works, it's not compatible with other PCs (because it works).
Now, I don't want to heard anybody complaining about Engineers'
call-out fees after reading this little tale.
Here's another thing: You can change screen mode and other settings on
Acorns without restarting the machine or dropping other activities.

(They could only read CDs until recently, and now it's too late;
they're able to tackle DVDs just in time for them going out of date.)
Acorn Enthusists:
“Now we've got Holographic Storage we don't need to muck around
with blue-ray.”
(They were reading CDs when they were called Videodisc® and
nobody else had heard of them, and were able to write to DVDs when they first
came out, and now they've moved on again.)
