The 24Hr Pager (+44 (0)7661-573266) is a backup, and for urgent alerts to answer the mobile (+44 (0)07811-550086) (Caller ID), or directly by keying in your phone no. The mobile is now on all the time. Automatic voicemail divert is not practical to turn off, so I can may not be able to reach the phone in time to answer, if I'm cycling, for example.

If you get a message immediately, the phone is off and I am unavailable, ie asleep, with a friend, etc. Er, that's I might be asleep, I might be with a friend; not....

If you get a ringing tone, then a message, then I'm with the phone but can't answer (there might be too much noise, for example), and have manually diverted you. I will then either go somewhere more convenient and return your call, or switch the phone off.

The email (Removing the NOSPAM bit first) can at present only be downloaded monthly (sometimes weekly), and will be largely superseded by HTTP [links] and FTP [file downloads] by the time anybody reads this. Incertia stands for Incerti Auctoris, which is latin for anonymous, literally, "author uncertain".

This address is never going to go out of date! In case of the sender being in the British Isles, only include as far down as "Wiltshire". In case of being distant, but still on the same planet, eg Canada, you could go as far down as "Eurasia". In case of interplanetary travel [in the near future], it would help to include "Sol III". Builders of Voyager III may wish to go as far down as the relevant Galactic Spiral Arm, but would please remember that the Voyager series of spacecraft do not possess Intergalactic escape velocity. Visiting Extragalactic aliens and builders of Deep Space probes have their own special problems. Aliens hailing merely from the local Galaxy please use the local forms of address above. In all cases please include the Postcode. Please use ISO-8859-1 English when writing the address. Sol III is the third planet out orbiting the star Sol. Milky Way is the name of the local Galaxy.
